Jim Arena started hanging wallpaper when he was in high school. He quickly realized that he had a knack for paper hanging. Noticing his attention to detail and patience, his boss realized this right away. Several years later, in 1981, he started out on his own.
“Paper hanging is a trade with an art to it,” says Jim. He’s an artisan with addition skills. Jim does his own wall prep that includes sanding, sizing and patching. He does this to have total control over the surface to ensure the best possible quality job when your expensive paper is being hanged.
Jim works with a variety of Interior Designers from the Boston Design Center and have an excellent working relationship with local design stores, such as Debsan Decorating Store. He has the ability to easily interface with any crew to ensure your job runs as smoothly as possible. His other key skills include scheduling, communicating and planning, which is much appreciated by any homeowner renovating a space.
Having grown up in Natick and has spent his career working in eastern Massachusetts, he has worked in all kinds of the area’s homes, ranging from colonials to modern Boston condominiums. Jim has experience with a wide range of paper types to make your project a huge success.
